AFMC MBBS 2014- Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune has decided that no separate AFMC PMT 2014 shall be conducted for admissions to the undergraduate medical courses. AFMC MBBS Admission 2014 will be made on the basis of AIPMT 2014 score. All candidates eligible for AIPMT 2014 can fill AFMC MBBS Admission form 2014 irrespective of their state of domicile. The last date of AFMC MBBS 2014 registration is May 13, 2014. The last date for filling online AFMC MBBS 2014 application form is May 17, 2014.

Total number of Seats in AFMC MBBS 2014 is130. Among the 130 AFMC MBBS seats, maximum 25 girls will be admitted to the MBBS course. Ten seats out of 130 are reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes/scheduled tribes.

AFMC MBBS 2014 Admissions: Through AIPMT 2014 Score
Eligibility: All those aspirants who want to pursue their MBBS programs from AFMC Pune must have following eligibility criteria as mentioned below.
- Candidates should be citizen of India
- Applicants must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
- They should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Government of India, Ministry of Defence
- There will be two categories for age criteria depending on academic qualifications:-
(I) 10+2 or equivalent - Should attain the age of 17 years on December 31, 2014 but must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date i.e. must have been born not earlier than January 01, 1993 and not later than December 31, 1997
(II) Passed B.Sc. examination or appearing in Final B.Sc. examination - Must not have attained the age of 24 years i.e. must have been born not earlier than January 01, 1991
- Applicants must be uExam Pattern: AFMC will not conduct any separate entrance test for AFMC MBBS 2014. The admission in AFMC MBBS 2014 Course will be done on the basis AIPMT 2014 score. Selection Procedure: Candidates for AFMC MBBS 2014 course will be shortlisted on the basis AIPMT 2014 score. Based on the AFMC MBBS 2014 merit list candidates will be called for Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR) and Psychological assessment cum Interview. The AFMC MBBS 2014 assessment test will be held tentatively in the month of June / July at AFMC, Pune.
Important highlights of AFMC MBBS 2014 assessment test is mentioned below:
- Test of English Language, Comprehension and Logic and Reasoning (ToELR) will be in the form of CBT (Computer Based Test)
- AFMC CBT test will have 40 multiple choice questions. Each question will have 2 marks. These 40 questions will be required to be answered in 30 minutes
- There will be negative marks of 0.5 for every incorrect answer
- The final AFMC MBBS 2014 score will be based on marks obtained in AIPMT 2014, ToELR score and interview marks
Application Procedure: AFMC MBBS 2014 admission form will be available soon. The last date registering for online AFMC MBBS 2014 application form is May 13, 2014. Candidates who wish to apply for AFMC MBBS 2014 must register themselves online in the prescribed format from the below link before the closing date. The last date of filling onlineAFMC MBBS 2014 application is May 17, 2014. The cost of AFMC MBBS 2014 application form is Rs. 250 which can be paid through SBI Bank Challan.

MBBS Course
The college conducts Under Graduate course sanctioned vide Govt. of India Ministry of Defence letter no. 11984/DGAFMS/DG-3(B)/9718/D (Med) dated 04 July 1962
Course Duration:
The duration of MBBS course is four and a half year followed by internship of one year.
Service Liability:
Students have compulsory liability to serve as Commisioned Officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services. The offer of the type of commission will depend on the vacancies available. The candidates' parents/guardians are required to sign a bond agreement at the time of admission.
ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATIONS TO APPEAR IN THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION GENERAL:
A candidate seeking admission to the MBBS course is eligible to take the entrance examination if he/she fulfills the following criteria:
- A candidate should be a citizen of India or be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan or any other foreign country with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Must be unmarried. Marrying during the course is not permitted.
- Should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence
- Must have attained the age of 17yrs on 31st Dec of the year of application, but must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date(Not more than 24 years in case of candidates who have passed or are appearing in final B Sc examinations).
Academic Qualifications:
Candidate must have passed all the subjects opted for in the first attempt of the qualifying examinations as a regular candidate with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these 3 science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the 10th standard.

A total of 130 students (105 boys & 25 girls) will be admitted
