AIPMT 2014 Counselling Round 1 Result Analysis as tool for AIPMT 2015 Counselling


The result of AIPMT 2014 Counselling Round 1 has been published by counselling authority Medical Counselling Committee on July 11, 2014. According to officials, 18115 candidates have participated in the AIPMT 2014 Counselling Round 1for 2,156 MBBS and 249 BDS seats in 123 Government Medical and 29 Dental Colleges of India respectively, excluding Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.

Important Highlights of AIPMT 2014 Counseling Round 1 -
  • 14 students out of top 100 rank holders did not apply for AIPMT counseling 2014
  • 40 MBBS and 6 BDS PH category seats remained vacant after 1st round of counseling
  • Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi remains the most preferred medical college among top rankers of AIPMT 2014
The AIPMT 2014 counselling process, conducted in 3 rounds, will conclude on September 5, 2014. The seat allotment result of round 1 was published on July 11, while the result for the second round of seat allotment will be released on August 4. However, cancelled seats from the first round will be carried forward to the second round seat allotment.

The third round of AIPMT 2014 counselling will begin from August 19, 2014 and conclude on August 26, 2014 with the release of seat allotment result. At this stage, candidates who were not allotted seats in the previous rounds will have an option to make their choice afresh, available on the basis of total vacant seats compiled from the left over seats of the previous two stages of counselling. In addition to the seats carried forward, candidates will also be considered for new seats, if any, in various medical colleges.

Out of Top 100 AIPMT 2014 Rankers – 14 Not Participated in Counselling
14 aspirants in the top 100 ranks did not participate in the AIPMT 2014 counselling. This increases other candidates’ chance of getting listed on the seat allotment result sheet as the 14 seats can be filled by aspirants below the previously declared cut off..
Meanwhile, 40 MBBS (PH category seats) and 6 BDS (PH category seats) seat are vacant after round 1 AIPMT 2014 counselling.
