Guideline for students
First step to choose a career starts in std 11 when a student opts for a particular stream. Std 12 is the stage when finally a student takes a decision regarding different exams he should appear for. Enthusiasm and high level of expectations of students after Board exam result starts taking a practical shape and students become more realistic in choosing career path. However, due to Parental pressure, Peer Pressure, Self Performance pressure at times students do not diversify their approach and at the end of std 12 are in a fix where to go. All students must keep in mind following things - Aim for the best. Take a call at the beginning of Std 11.
- Keep other options open based on academic potential and personal aptitude
- After Std 11 reassess you potential and make a new strategy for excellence. This is most important.
- Even if you are over confident for IITs based on performance in All India test series, take your AIEEE seriously.
- Once you are able to assess that you may be in boarder line section of IIT selection or may be even out of it, redesign your strategy. No one can understand the need for it, except you
- Immediately concentrate on AIEEE, and freeze minimum 5 different exams of engineering that you can qualify. Never ignore the exam that you think is very easy because there should be something in your kitty which is sure shot.
- Those who have taken call at the beginning of std to opt for career other than engineering, must also not restrict their options to one exam. They must prepare for minimum three different options and at the same time do not close the door for AIEEE exam.
Always have two track plan
Plan 1: What I have to achieve
Plan 2: What are option if there are some hitches in plan 1.
