JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment- The Seat Allotment for JEE Main 2015 qualified candidates will be on the basis of their All India Ranks as well as the choices they have filled in. The branches, institutes chosen by the candidates will be processed and will be allotted as per the guidelines of CSAB on the basis of the JEE Main 2015 Merit List. Check your JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment Below as soon as it is announced.
Reporting to the Allotted Institute:
First Round of JEE Main 2015 Allotment:
- The choice of branch and institute saved and locked by the candidates will be processed centrally allotment done according to the JEE Main 2015 AIR as well as the choices entered by the candidates
- Candidates who are allotted a seat should personally report to any one of the Reporting Centers (Click here) for taking provisional admission
- Candidates who do not report within the stipulated period to the Reporting Center will be cancelled and such candidates will not be considered for JEE Main 2015 seat allotment in subsequent rounds.
- However, such candidates will be eligible for the JEE Main 2015 Spot Round, for which they have to register again as per the schedule.
- Vacant seats not filled during this round will be considered for allotment in the subsequent rounds of JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment.
- Candidates may remember that for confirmation of the JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment, they can report to any of the JEE Main 2015 Reporting centers
- However for change of Option, cancellation, withdrawal etc, they have to report to the same Reporting Center where provisional admission was taken
Confirmation of JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment:
- Candidates have to download and print their JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment letter.
- They have to pay the part admission fee of Rs 40,000 through SBI or ICICI e-Challan or Debit card /Credit card / Netbanking.
- Note: Candidates who have paid the initial fee as above need not pay again for the subsequent rounds
What to do after Seat Allotment:
- Candidates should produce all the relevant certificates in original for verification along with the signed printout of locked choices and provisional allotment letter at the Reporting Center.
- They should also carry the Print out / SMS / Email of the online payment of the initial fee of Rs. 40,000
- Note: No Demand Drafts/ Cheques/Cash will be accepted at the reporting centre
Candidates can choose the following:
- Option 1: Candidates who wish to be considered for further rounds of JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment should also indicate their willingness to be considered for all of their higher preference choices (across the institutes) during further rounds of JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment
- Option 2: Candidates can choose to remain within the institute allotted to them and indicate their willingness for consideration of higher choices within the institute
- Option 3: Candidates can choose to remain with the institute and branch allotted to them
- Note: Candidates choosing Option 1 and Option 2 candidates will forfeit their claim on seats allotted to them in earlier rounds, if they are allotted other seats against their higher preference choices during subsequent rounds.
Provisional Admission Letter:
- A provisional admission letter will be issued to the candidates at the Reporting Center after the verification of the certificates/ credentials and the fee paid.
Withdrawal:
- Candidates at any stage withdraw from the CSAB 2015 Counselling during the stipulated time. To do so, they have to approach the Reporting Center, where they had initially reported to initiate the process of refund of initial fee paid by them.
Option changes allowed for the next round:
- Option 1 to Option 2
- Option 1 to Option 3
- Option 2 to Option 3

Second Round of JEE Main 2015 Allotment:
Second Round of JEE Main 2015 Allotment:
- The JEE Main Seat Allotment for the Second round will be made against vacant seats available after the first round of allotment and reporting.
Candidates who are eligible for allotment against vacant seats fall into one of the following four categories:
- 1. Registered candidates who were not allotted any seat in the first round of seat allotment.
- 2: Registered candidates whose first round of allotted seats were cancelled at RC due to change of Gender/Category/Sub Category/State of Eligibility and are still eligible.
- 3: Candidates who gave Option I or Option II during the reporting of the first round of allotment.
- 4: Choices of the candidates who gave Option III will also be processed for the purpose of change in allotted category only (Branch and the institute of such candidate will remain unchanged).
Candidates who are not eligible for second Round of allotment:
- Candidates who have not reported at RC after seat allotment in first round
- Candidates who have reported to RC and taken withdrawal from Admission Process
- Candidates who have become non-eligible due to change of Category/PwD status
After JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment Round 2:
- Candidates who belong to the category 1 & 2 and get a seat allotment in the second round should personally report to a Reporting Center as per schedule for provisional admission.
- They should follow the procedure followed for admission as mentioned above for the JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment Round 1.
- Candidates belonging to category 3 may get a seat of higher preferred choice or their previously allotted seat may remain unchanged.
- Candidates of Category 4 will have their changes processed only for migration to changed allotted category.
- Note: Candidates who wish to change their Option for subsequent rounds should approach the same Reporting Center from where they were issued the JEE Main 2015 provisional admission letter.
- Candidates belonging to the third category need not approach the reporting centre. They should instead wait for the next rounds
Third Round of JEE Main 2015 Allotment:
- The JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment for the Third round will be made against vacant seats available after the second round of allotment and reporting.
- The modalities are the same as the JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment for Round 2
Last year's CSAB Counselling for Round 3:
Reporting to the Allotted Institute:
- After third round of allotment is completed, all those candidates who have participated in third round as Option 2 or Option 3 candidates should report to the allotted institute as per the given schedue failing which the seat allotted to them will be cancelled
- Such candidates will be considered for the JEE Main 2015 Spot Round if they register again
- Candidates who participated in third round as Option 1 candidates and are satisfied with their allotted seat or allotted institute after the third round should report to the allotted institute as per the given schedule
Unlocking of choices and editing prior to commencement of the Round 4, 2015
- Candidates who have participated in third round as Option 1 candidates and who are not satisfied with their allotted seat after the third round can remain under consideration for admission after reporting to the same Reporting Center as per schedule
- A written request must be submitted that they may be allowed to modify their branch and institute choices and to participate in fourth round of allotment. To do so, they must surrender their previously allotted seat
- Upon receiving their written request and undertaking, the Reporting Center will permit the surrender of existing seat, unlock their choices and will issue them a surrender letter.
- Candidates can then modify their choices, and lock them as per the given schedule
- The fourth round of allotment will be conducted to fill in seats that may still remain vacant after three rounds of allotment.
Eligible Candidates can be grouped as follows:
- Group1: Registered candidates who did not get any seat allotted in the first three rounds. These candidates may have already modified their choices during the given dates and time.
- Group 2: Candidates, who got a seat allotment in third round, reported to Reporting Center after third round of allotment and surrendered the seat.
- Group 3: Candidates who got admitted to the allotted institute and indicated their order of preference for branches within the Institute.
- Group 4: Freshly registered candidates who did not register during scheduled date.
- Group 5: Candidates who gave their preference for branches within their allotted institute, at the time of taking admission during third round will also be considered to be processed for the purpose of change in allotted category only (Branch and the institute of such candidate will remain unchanged)
JEE Main 2015 Seat Allotment Guidelines after Fourth Round:
- Candidates falling in Group 2 should specifically note that, depending on their AIR and modified choices; they may or may not get a seat in this round of allotment.
- Candidates of Group 1, Group 2 and Group 4 who get a seat allotment in this round shall personally report directly to the allotted institute during scheduled dates and time. Candidates who do not report will get their seats cancelled. However, they can be considered for seat allotment in Spot Round for which they have to register again during scheduled dates and time.
- Candidates of Group 3 who are already at the allotted institute and are attending the classes after third round, can check on the website if their branch is upgraded or not, and contact the Admission In-charge of their institute for further instructions.
- There will be no change of branch and institute of the candidates of Group 5 except the allotted category, if eligible, and as per their JEE Main 2015 AIR.
Internal Sliding:
- Candidates who have been admitted in the allotted institute till fourth round and have opted for during admission at the allotted institute will be allowed to participate in the internal sliding within their category / sub category
- The Internal sliding will be based on AIR, the choice of branches given at the time of admission to the Institute and within their category / sub category.
- An 'internal sliding' will be carried out on scheduled date and time, in each of the Participating Institutes among candidates who have joined that institute. This processing too will take place centrally.
JEE Main 2015 Spot Round of Allotment
This round will be conducted for any vacant seats available in NITs / IIITs and other GFTIs after internal sliding (within category / sub category) along with all the seats offered by SFTIs (Self Financed Technical Institutes).
Last year's JEE Main Counselling for Spot Round-
Eligible candidates fall into the following categories:
- 1. Candidates who have not taken admission in an institute up to fourth round
- 2. Fresh candidates who did not register earlier
- 3. Candidates who withdrew after taking admission in an institute during the specified dates, may participate for the Spot Round.
Note: Candidates who have already taken admission in any participating institute of CSAB 2015 and have not withdrawn will not be permitted in spot round.
Details for JEE Main 2015 Spot Round:
- Candidates must register online afresh from places convenient to them or in any Help Centre (earlier registrations, if any, shall stand cancelled).
- They must pay the initial fee of Rs.40,000 by online payment using either e-Challan or Netbanking / Debit card /Credit card – SBI or ICICI
- Candidates who have already paid the initial fee during any of the earlier rounds need not to pay the fee again.
- Candidates must fill in fresh choices against the vacancies displayed on scheduled date and time for
- Spot Round and save the final choices.
- The saved choices must be locked and a printout taken of the same
