Ranchi Principals Conference at Capitol Hill

On 19th January Radio Dhoom and Prabhat Khabar in association with Psychographic Society, Ranch and SMEC, Chennai organized "Ranchi Principals' Conference in Capitol Hill. Program began by lighting of Lamp by Chief Guest Sri, Sri Harivansh, Legendary Editor in Chief of Prabhat Khabar, Prof R A Singh, Chairman, Psychographic Society, Mr J Mohanty, Principal, DPS, Ranchi, Mr A  K Singh, Principal, JVM Shyamli, Mr M K Sinha, Principal, DAV Kapildev and Viks Kumar, founder Psychographic Society


Sumit Singh, Founder Member, Mr V Parashar, and Mr Gyanendra Kumar welcomed all the guests.

Program Began by Introduction of Agenda By Vikas Kumar, Career Counsellor and Psychologist
who proposed a system of Holistic Counselling in schools of Ranchi by involving Principals, Teachers and School students and invited suggestion from the house

Prof R A Singh, Chariman, Psychographic Society expressed his warm welcome to all present dignitaries and shared his thoughts based on Indian Philosophy and Education System

Mr R Rajshekaran, Vice-Chairman, Shakti Mariamman Engineering College(SMEC,Chennai), the program sponsors highly appreciated this effort and expressed his gratitude towards all Prinicpals and the guests. He thanked Vikas Kumar for organizing the congregation of educationist.

It was rare privilege to listen to ideas of Leading Principals of Ranchi. Discussions came alive with forthright view of Mr J Mohanty, Principal, DPS Ranchi. He appreciated the effort of Vikas Kumar and Psychographic Society  but suggested to change the sequence of Counselling Program. He said instead of counselling sessions starting from Students, it should begin with Principals, then for teachers, then for Parents and at the end  for the Students. It received thunderous applause from Principals, and guests Present.

Vikas Kumar expressed his happiness on this approach and announced that under guidance of Dr Amool Ranjan a proper sensitization program will be prepared in the same sequence.

 Mr M K Sinha, Principal, DAV, Kapil Dev congratulated Psychogrpahic Society for this meaninful discussion and expressed his happiness on presence of Sri Harivansh. He said articles of Sri Harivansh fulfills his intellectual thirst and gives agenda for his morning assembly. He very cateregorically asserted that Counselling must be integral part of School and all efforts should be made to make it happen

Mr A K Singh also applauded effort of Vikas Kumar and Psychographic Society in promotion of Counselling and gave a thought provoking lecture on need for counselling. He also explained bilogical phenomenon affecting teenagers and also suggested ways to control them. He also stressed on need for Parent Counselling and gave a heart touching example.He expressed his happiness on presence of Sri Harivansh , Chief Editor, Prabhat Khabar.

 

After speech of Guest of Honour , Vikas Kumar invited everyone to share their thoughts on the theme. Mr Paras Agarwal, Director, Brothers Academy was first to come on the dias and share his experience and ideas. 

Psychographic Society had invited 5 Leading Coaching Institutes of Ranchi. Mr Sujit Jha, Sri Chaitanya, Mr Pankaj Kumar, AGM, FIITJEE-Ranchi and Mr Deepak Kumar Jha, Resonance also graced the program.

Mr Amool Ranjan Singh, Former Director, RINPAS who was the Guest Speaker of Eminence on the theme applauded Psychographic Society and said that he had been to the centre at club Road and good effort is being made by the Team. He shared his experience of Counselling in different schools and suggested method for incorporation of Counselling in the school. He said that in recent days awareness about Counselling has increased in the City and more and more students are coming to RINPAS for Counselling

The most defining moment of the conference came when Sri Harivansh, Chief Editor-Prabhat Khabar came to the dias and gave thought charged with high Intellectual, Sprititual and Nationalsitic fervour. He cited examples of legends and ignited one and all. He spoke amidst pin drop  silence. All Principals and the guests were listening with such rapt attention that no one realized that it was 9.45 pm and the program began at 6 pm.

Sri Harivansh also presented statistics from Nasscom and questioned present trend of education. He appreciated work of Psychographic Society and advised to add value based Couselling in addition to Career Counselling, Personal Counselling and Parent counselling.

Vikas Kumar anchored the entire disucsion and expressed hope that by 2017 with support of Principals of Ranchi and good wished of the Chief Guest and other stalwarts Ranchi will be first city in the country to provide counselling to all  +2 Students. Radio Dhoom also entertained Pricipals with its wity question and answers. Vikas Kumar thanked Mr Sanjeev Singh, Corporate Events and Brand, Prabhat Khabar and Mr Sanjay Maurya, Head, Radio -Dhoom for their support
